Naagin fame Mouni Roy doesn’t seem to stop. Even before the release of her Bollywood debut film, she has already signed her 4th project in Bollywood. Believe it or not, but that is true. Mouni is soon going to make her debut with film ‘Gold’ opposite Akshay Kumar. The film is based on true events and will release on 15 August. Mouni will be playing a Bengali girl in the film.
Mouni has just signed her 4th project, this time alongside Rajukumar Rao. There were rumours earlier, but Mouni confirmed it today but posting it on Instagram. Rajkumar Rao and Mouni Roy will play a married couple in Dinesh Vijan’s quirky comedy Made in China.
Talking about his female lead, Dinesh said, “We wanted someone who’d connect with the heartland and Mouni, a typical Indian beauty, has a huge fan following. She has a strong personality but gentle eyes and is a good dancer which is essential for the role as her character has a passion for classical Indian dance having learned it. She has started working on her Gujarati dialect.”
We earlier reported you that Mouni has also signed a film titled RAW which also stars John Abraham. The film is being directed by Robbie Grewal. It will be a thriller. A source close to the actor told, “It’s an interesting film. It has John in three-four different looks which they are yet to finalise. A full and final look test will be conducted soon and the actor will leave Mumbai in the first week of June. He will only return to the bay after 60-70 days, when the shoot wraps up.”
Currently, the actress is in Bulgaria shooting for her 2nd film titled ‘Brahmastra’. The film also stars Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, and Amitabh Bachchan. The film is based on Amish Tripathi’s Shiva Trilogy.
Mouni has worked in TV serials like Naagin and Kyuki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi.
